Magical Winter Wedding Venues

We are fast approaching one of our favourite times in the calendar year! Of course, we are talking about Christmas, so what better way to start getting in the festive spirit than browsing beautiful venues that make for magical winter weddings.

If you’re a bride-to-be that loves nothing more than curling up by a roaring log fire, with red wine in hand, watching the sprinkling of snow flakes falling from the window, then ’tis the season to get married.

Hedsor House

What a treat to have stumbled across this stunning Georgian Mansion. This magical winter wedding venue is just a stones throw away from London yet offers a tranquil retreat, with over 100 acres of private parkland.

What makes Hedsor House stand out to us here at Design My Wedding is the incredibly beautiful Bridal Suites and Guest rooms that the venue have to offer. You could have your own exclusive country home for the weekend – just you two love birds and your wedding guests!

IF you’re wanting a small, intimate ceremony, the centre Hall has a capacity of 60 guests. If you’ve got bigger ideas, the luxury Grand Ballroom maybe the best choice for the wedding reception as this can hold up to 150 guests.

Polhawn Fort

Based in Cornwall, Polhawn Fort is a fantastic choice for those seeking a coastal wedding venue. During the winter months, this venue is super cosy as there’s always a roaring log fire burning and when it snows it becomes a classic winter wonderland.

For couples wanting to host their wedding all under the same roof, this is a perfect choice as its a licenced venue. You can get married in the beautiful Grand Napoleonic Hall which seats up to 120 guests or the Emperors Room which holds up to 30 guests (perfect for intimate weddings). You can later dine in the luxurious restaurant area and hold your evening reception and party. There is even rooms for your guests to stay after the wedding – all bedrooms are sea-facing.

Holkham Hall

Located on the North Norfolk Coast, Holkham Hall is an impressive country venue that offers charm, sophistication and tranquillity. When driving up, you will be taken aback by the overwhelming sense of calm and peace that this hidden woodland venue offers. The panoramic views, crystal blue lake and impressive venue would always be a complimented backdrop to your wedding photographs.

Kew Gardens

Located within easy reach of central London, yet nestled in the tranquil Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Garden makes for an enchanted, winter wedding venue. The intimate reception and ceremony rooms create a warm and inviting atmosphere to say “I do”

We love the Nash Conservatory, as it’s an enchanting 19th century glasshouse with floor to ceiling windows meaning there’s an abundance of natural light filling the space. This room has a capacity for a civil ceremony of up to 200 guests and is perfect to host a wedding all year round.
