August 5th 2015 – A very sentimental place for Jess, Criccieth, North Wales. This is where she used to take her school holidays with her Grandparents, there’s a dedicated bench for her Grandad where she scattered his ashes, it sits overlooking the Castle and the bay. She had no idea I had travelled up not long after her and her mum had arrived to spend a few days to set up champagne, flowers and fairy lights and to get myself in a suit. It went all to plan!
Wedding Day Vision
Our vision was to go to Italy, we could picture ourselves in front of a large church standing there on the steps, just the two of us with champagne in hand. We’d return home and hold a big party to celebrate.
This was easy as we just went along with a vision that we both shared. After a lot of thought and excitement of family we decided to hold our wedding in North Wales where she had so many memories at the Italian village of portmeirion.
We were just sensible as we made and styled a lot of things ourselves, from styling the venue, Jess doing the flowers, finding a venue that held the ceremony and the reception in the same place helped a lot with costing
Castelle Deudraeth, Portmeirion, North Wales. We hired the castle for the day which allowed ourselves and a handful of guests to stay with us for a weekend of celebrations.
Details and Decor
We both used our creative skills in making most of the decorative items for the day. We put a lot of effort in ensuring the vision became true to what we had in mind. Through this we have now set up our own wedding staging business which is as a sideline to our home furnishings store. So we can stage and dress wedding venues to date we have done 3 since launching last July.
