We are delighted to share this beautiful styled shoot & are proud to see that a lot of these amazingly talented wedding suppliers can be found on the directory.
The concept of the shoot has a wintery rustic, theme with a mood board of fresh woodland greenery, deep natural tones and contrasting crisp white flowers to compliment a beautifully decorated brewery, housed within a listed building which is also a very unique wedding venue.
We had originally planned on having a single model and when two other ladies came forward to also be brides for the day, the creativity flowed, we realised they had completely different hair colours and being that we were in a bar, that’s how we got to the title of the shoot!
The weather on the day was shocking! It rained and rained and then rained some more! But this really worked with the surroundings and the lack of natural lighting really added to the rich earthy vibe.
Natural greenery in the floristy, combined with deep woody tones accompanied the rustic feel to the building of original brickwork and beams fabulously and at the same time contrasted seamlessly with the crisp whites of the brides dresses, dazzling hair accessories, and modern leather jackets we wanted to feature. It really was a classic case of combining modern and contemporary.
This was a stripped back shoot when it came to venue decorating as the building was so charming in its own attire.
We decided to keep the beautiful tables as bare wood as we felt that it kept in keeping with the earthy, rustic theme.
Alongside mis-matched chairs, and simple decor, the huge silver charger plates and log center pieces adorned with elegant floating candles and yet more greenery came together to create the most stunning almost ‘castle in the woods’ style setting.
Two of the models hair was kept as elegant vintage waves both dressed with large stunning accessories.
The other had a flowing braided style entwined with a vine and scattered pearls.
We even had a custom made crown which the girls had to each have a turn to wear!
The makeup was kept natural and elegant to keep with the soft winter theme.
The cake beautifully demonstrates the concept of the shoot by contrasting a natural woodland tier with a stunning glittery top tier, sandwiching the middle centre piece with an incredible hand painted crest, this combination is a dream and looked epic where it was positioned for the images.
All in all, this shoot showed us that sometimes less is more, except when it comes to the number of models!
